A key safe secures keys physically — but it doesn’t answer the question of who last had a key or when it was returned. Software like Log+Key documents every movement digitally, gives everyone on the team a live overview, and enables handovers to external parties (e.g. tradespeople) with a traceable signature. A key safe and software can also be combined — we connect common key-safe providers such as SimonsVoss via the Wiegand interface. No. Log+Key runs on any smartphone, tablet, or computer with a browser — no installation, no mandatory hardware. Optionally, NFC tags (€2 each) make it easy to scan at the key ring, and a wall terminal provides a fixed point of contact in the office or store room. Neither is required. With the free tier, you’re ready to go in minutes — create an account, register your first keys, and off you go. For larger roll-outs with NFC tags and/or a terminal, expect 2–4 weeks from signing to going live. The bottleneck is usually the delivery of the tags — on request, we’ll number and stick them to your key rings beforehand.
